what do i need to do for full vag com

i all ready have the free download one where you can just view a few fault codes but i think now id liike the full thing

do i have to buy the lot for like £260 or is there a add on if you like for not as much

any help at all would be realy nice as im very much a noob to the hole vag com thing

No. If you already have VCDS-Lite running on the wire you own, you can unlock the restricted features by purchasing a full VCDS-Lite license. Once installed, full function of VCDS-Lite will be available.

Remember too, that if in the future, you want to upgrade to the full VCDS product, then the license that I have suggested you buy, will be fully credited towards a full system purchase.

The decision on staying with VCDS-Lite and going to a full current VCDS version really has to do with what you want to do with the tool. If you are satisfied that you can get into all of the modules on your car - as VCDS-Lite does not limit the modules you can access - then have a registered & licensed version of VCDS-Lite may be all you ever need. If you want to work on newer cars, then VCDS-Lite will not be sufficient and you should consider a full VCDS system for that work.

i would like to do logs and such,maf readings align the throttle body ect,block readings

and all i would want it for would be my mk3 ibiza cupra and mabie a golf r32 not sure what mk tho 4 mabie 5 but that would be it

any idear how much it would cost to upgrade would this be about right 99.00 USD = 62.8000 GBP

also dos this license run out

IMO i would go for the full hardware/software version HEX-CAN-USB

Allows you to do everything and car from 1996 (older with 2X2 cable) to present and will cover future cars too

i got mine from MI-UK £250 all in. Comes with cable/software/instructions.case and a full uk supplied warranty

thays alot of money tho for that when the upgrade would be ideal for me

If the R32 is an MK5 based vehicle, VCDS-Lite and your wire will not work on it as diagnostics are done by CAN on the MK5s. Your wire nor VCDS-Lite support CAN. VCDS-Lite supports vehicles up to about 2005 model year. Hope that helps with your decision.

The license cost is $99USD. I gave you the link to the license/registration purchase page in our web store. There is no time period on the license. It does not run out.

i have not tryed it on the car yet but when i got to the about bit to look at the license status it still says unregisterd/shareware

what do i do now

First, we stopped giving licenses for VAG-COM version 409.1 months ago. We only support VCDS-Lite and you need to download that from our website. Now, we cannot know what wire you are using so, you must contact your wire supplier and get the VCDS-Lite compatible driver for your wire's hardware. Without this driver, you will not get VCDS-Lite to work.

Next, once you submit your order for a license, as the page indicates for those who will take the time to read, we process the order within one business day. Humans process all orders and generate registration and license information. This information is emailed to the customer upon the authentication and payment collection. These functions are not processed automatically nor are they processed on the weekend. You should receive an email on Monday telling you that Ross-Tech will not provide licenses for version 409 any longer. It will most likely tell you that your order has been canceled. I'm not in the office, I have no means to assist beyond what I have said here.

Please download VCDS-Lite, get the driver you need from your wire vendor, test VCDS-Lite on your car and computer in shareware mode, then place the order for a VCDS-Lite license on our web site.

If you are using the product, you are connecting your computer to your car by some means. That means is usually a wire of some sort. We refer to our genuine product as an "Interface" because it is loaded with electronics that makes the communications to all parts of the car and to all VAG diagnostic capable cars possible. Other vendors have very little in the way of interface electronics. So, we choose to call these "wires".

So, does that help to clarify to what I refer?

As I said earlier, your order cannot be processed if you supplied a serial number from a 409.1 install. We do not charge people for services not rendered.

In my opinion mate i'd just part with the cash for the real interface and software licence - £250 is peanuts for what it can do and the support is second to none + free updates a they hold there value for resale.

the lead you have shown in the picture is a cheap (very cheap) after market lead that might not nessesarily work correctly anyways.
