The original button question that attracted such a wealth of interest and witty banter was a serious one and I was grateful for the info..

Also, if you leave the key slot in the vertical position it will lock/unlock with the remote, if you turn it thru 90 to the 3 oclock position and remove the key it will ignore the remote and can only be opened with the key by turning to the 9 oclock position.

When you push it, a little tray in the boot opens and your user manual pops out. HTH
