What does Ventilation actually do in the app?

Just wondering now the temperature has risen in the UK, does this actually put the air con on, or just the blowers?

Not sure it works at all. I tried it a couple of times but never noticed anything in the car. I've got a VZ.

I noticed mine seems to change the interior temp to 22 degrees when I activate ventilation and then it felt like cool air blowing and the app said 9 minutes to target temp so assumed it was AC as the blower wouldn't be able to do that

This is from manual.
With the parking ventilation function, the passenger compartment can be ventilated in spring/summer.The power required for parking ventilation will be provided by the vehicle's 12V battery. The ventilation function is controlled through the CUPRA CONNECT mobile App or the MyCUPRA website.

There’s no way the 12V battery is running the AC compressor. I suspect it literally just turns on the blowers to shift any standing hot air (i.e. ventilate, like opening the windows).

In my opinion an utterly useless function. I don’t understand why they didn’t include proper climate control remote engine start function. It was brilliant on my Jag XF (and even better on the Leaf of course as no engine running!)

Remote start/heat up is available on lesser engines. My understanding is there is no room to fit it on 310 PS one.

When you say lesser engines, do you mean the 1.5 or also the 2.0 245 PS?

I've ordered a 245 PS VZ1. I remote start the AC/heater in my current car (Volvo V90) a lot, I'll miss being able to do this if it's not supported.

Honestly I don't know. I saw it in my countries brochure, it was listed as an option on the 150 HP car but not on the 310 HP car (that was before 245 and 190 were available).

It looks like this in brochure.

I tried finding the option in UK for brochure but couldn't find it. Maybe it is not available in UK or available at all.

I've been researching this and I think it may only be possible on a hybrid. The car (in the UK) doesn't have remote start so won't be able to turn the engine on to activate the Air con. It's a shame as would have been nice to come into a cool / warm car

Shame. Still very much looking forward to getting the car though... Hopefully in November.

I think you are right. I've tried it today and I could hear the blowers working before I opened the car and when I entered, I could feel that the ventilation was working. (I own a VZ)

It won't cool down car to cozy 22C but it can help by expelling the super hot air that accumulates in the sun. Your dashboard will still be extremely hot so it's not solution for all but it will help your AC start cooling sooner.

My main problem is remembering to turn it on and then using slow Cupra Connect app to enable it.
