What is a 1.4 xreg 50k miles worth?

If there's a CD changer, it's in the glovebox - or it might be in the boot if it was fitted aftermarket.
A car is only worth as much as someone will pay for it? I'd imagine it's worth anywhere between £2500-3000, but it depends on the colour, your location - whether it'd be sold privately or if you're planning on doing something to the car first...
A look on autotrader says 2500 though. How much did they pay?

it's lite blue,location tyne & wear,no cd changer, its a leon 1.4s 2000 xreg

£2500 is book price for a 1.4S. I have a 2002 model and there is no cd changer with the car as standard (Just the Aura cassette headunit) but can be fitted with the purchase of the correct wiring loom.
Had mine for 2 years now. Had 34000 miles on the clock when I bought it and now has 60,750 miles.
In the last 2 years its had:
2 coil packs,
new exhaust from the cat back,
brakes and discs all round,
most leaks sorted (still finding little ones)
new steering column shroud
rear washer jet and piping sorted
You will find that the above are common across the Leon range (some are general wear and tear). Not just the 1.4 in general.
Overall I'm happy with mine. I didn't buy it for massive performance. Mainly for econamy and low insurance.
If you do go for one. I'd suggest you go for a late 2003 onwards model as they came with air conditioning as standard. Pre 2003 models didn't come with air con.

He's already bought it. That price is fine, they're good little cars - and personally speaking, haven't had any leaks.
