Checked mine today, only had the car 3 weeks, but the 18s were fitted at the dealers not at the factory, so guessing the inside cap was wrong, it had 32 front and 29 back.
Checked them, the fronts were 38 and back was 29 other was 31.
I have set the fronts to 34 and backs to 31 to see how that goes.
also checked the tyre depths, on the conti sports, and after 6k they are at 6.1mm front and 7.1mm backs.
If yours says 32/29 then stick to that or there abouts. Mine has 33/31 for a light load which is a higher psi than your vehicle because I assume that the diesel lump in my car weighs a bit more.
Always inflated my tyres a few PSI higher than the manual. I started doing that ever since my old Astra. The 28 PSI was just too low and I always got sidewall damage. Upped to 32 PSI and problem went away, fuel economy went up and the tyres lasted much, much longer. The garage also started inflating them to that pressure as well.
Depends though. Start off with the recommended and if you start seeing problems then decide to alter. If not don't bother.
been running mine on 34/31 and been going well so far, did nice long motorway run 200 miles last week and felt good, good mpg, nice feeling.
Going to leave them at that for time being i think
