What is this next to the DV ??

I have what sounds like a boost leak... So Ive bought a new DV thinking it was that as thats where the leaking sounds like its coming from when the Accelerator is bliped... However that made no difference, just to rule out another faulty DV I removed it bunged the hole and sealed vacumn but it was still there... But I swear its coming from the DV area.

However in the below picture around the far right clip on the object next to the DV there looks to be a bit of residue as if there is a leak.... My question is, if it was leaking would it sound like a boost leak as to me it looks like a oil beather as it goes back to the rocker cover !!

its just an oil breather...theres no boost there

Would then if the oil being breathed through it. If there was a leak in it make a slight churp when the accelerator is blipped !!

i doubt it tbh its pretty solid for a start

is your car remapped?

Its a non return valve for the oil breather. Take it off and check if its leaking.

Would you just blow into it and block the other exit and see if it leaks out the top ??

Car isn't remapped... And the DV is on the right way !! lol just before anyone asks !!
