I'm not really fussy but i tend to use BP in my village because the local rag does a 3p/ltr off voucher-making it cheaper to buy the paper and throw it away just saving the token!
Anyone else find the Shell Extra name confusing? It suggests its higher octane but isnt

Used to use Morrissons all the time, but now use Shell because the local station is just as cheap.
Plus Millers Sport 4.

Adding Millers gives the same benefits (if not more so) than the likes of Ultimate but for less money, it probably even pays for itself in terms of slight MPG improvement.

I don't go out of my way yo get special stuff.

But when I stop at a fuel station I put in the best Derv they have to offer. Never eally notice the difference in performance/mpg but so long as it goes I'm happy. Now petrol ...that's a different kettle of fish!

local garage for me is bp so i've used ultimate a few times - seems to pull a bit better and slightly more left in the tank after a week. however it';s pricey and i get 99% of the extra benefits when i use bog standard shell diesel. runs rough as a badgers bits on supermarket derv tho so don;t bother about the few pence a fill up saving anymore.

Well I must have had a super batch of fuel tonight as filled up at Fontwell and drove from there to home in essex maintaining a solid 70mph on the motorways and easy acceleration etc I got an all time best of 64.1mpg!

At the tunnel it said I had 710miles left in the tank and had done 85miles! Bloody awesome stuff! I still had to haul arse cos of idiots pulling out at last moment and it pulled so well!

Millers + shell diesel extra + green cotton + ecu reset = amazing mpg and amazing pull!

I've always only used Shell Extra as it's the same price as the Supermarket fuels around here and a few P's cheaper than the local BP. I've been using Millers Sport 4 for the last few tanks and am very impressed. Going on a 300 mile journey tomorrow so think I'll try the ECU reset today and see if this improves on my 55mpg average!
