What manifold would you buy?

From what I gather, there is little point to a performance manifold with a k03s, plus they are more likely to crack. I'd stick with standard on k03s...

jbsautodesigns sell performance manifolds if you wanted to buy one, its tubular design so it wont crack like the standard manifold (like mine has). its about £400, look for it under mk4 golf.

I'm sure they can produce upto 15bhp as better gas flow?
Also is any one running the JBS manifold?????

Haha I'm thinking of the JBS manifold chris they claiming 15 to 20 bhp dependant on map, Badger 5 has fitted one to mrs lupo 1.8T I not seen the logs yet!

save your money on hi-flow manifold.
I can port your standard one and get the same results as the "hi-flow" manifolds..

I have tried them, and they dont give any power over what can readily be done with porting the stock k03 manifold.

MrsB Lupo 1.8t runs a jbs one, runs fine, not cracked in the 6 months or so its been on there, but has made no more power from bolt on. (it runs k03s)

On k04 hyrbrids I have done, I ported the stock manifold and achieved the same gains in airflow and n75 duty cycle as the hi-flow ones... but with more reliability from the manifold, compared to some of the cheaper ones on the market.

Ah brill so how much are you looking at to port them ?

This is interesting, are you saying with k03s, stick with standard and leave alone, and on hybrid port the standard manifold? Is there any reason not to port on k03s? I've spoken with a few sponsors on here about the k03s all of which advised sticking with stock manifold, but hadn't mentioned porting it..

I am saying leave the so calle dhi flow manifolds alone period.. the stock one when ported will flow more than enough for a k0x turbo can flow.
Porting is about an hour and a halfs work @ £45/hour +vat

What do you recon on porting a 210 / 225 K04 manifold, is it doable.

Thanks, that's useful to know, mucho cheaper than a new manifold!! Is it worth porting then when replacing k03 with k03s only and nothing more?

I doubt you would notice much difference in butt dyno terms..
not done a test as such on just porting on an otherwise stock k03s manifold, only results from k03/4 hyrbrid matching the results of higher flow k03 manifolds.
It could'nt hurt however.. just dont expect wow gains
