Found a possible one. It has a stage 1 map but it wasn't done on a rolling road, not sure how I feel about that, is this the norm?

Depends. If its an off the shelf map, it doesn't need to be done on a rolling road. None of my Revo maps needed it (dyno was broke when I had my Stage 2).

If the cars good. But it and have a new map done from a firm you have researched.
No rolling road means a plug in and play map. Usually not a good road to go down.
Someone like a mobile mapper has just loaded the ecu with a bog standard map. Could be problematic. Probably spikey map too which won’t be much good.
You and I can buy maps ourselves and become “mappers” if we own a computer, but I wouldn’t have it mapped by me!
As said. Buy car. Have a good firm Remove map and remap to your liking.

I know, any idea where I would stand with insurance? Although it's pretty much a Cupra R I'm sure it would be classed as a highly modified cupra which is probably way more on insurance.
Hi.
If you need any help with insurance at all then please feel free to drop me a line.
Regards,
Dan.

Starting to think I might have to look at cupra's as well as the cupra r. Is it worth holding out for a cupra r? There's notany around and the one I went to see the other day was pretty rough.

I have one mate in grey 55 plate with 113000 on the clock
I think I'm in the same boat as you! Want a silver, red or grey, 2004 or 2005 and as standard as possible.

Anything over 80k for more than £4K is overpriced and a car meeting my criteria pops up about once a month. Unfortunately they always seem to be 150+ miles away!

You've just got to be patient and stick with it because there aren't that many about now.

Only got one picture as the ad got taken down as soon as I bought it! Completely standard Cupra, very tidy both inside and out and with a full service history.
