Over the last 800 miles i've managed 31.2MPG (LCR), according to my trip computer. Driving like miss daisey most of the time.

Mines currently sitting at 29.7mpg total average since I had it...my daily commute is a 35 mile round trip, mixed A & B roads, driving as I like, not really watching it too hard.
Mines a 1.8 20vt

I've seen 44.1 mpg on the trip computer, that was driving like a granny tho, usually average bout 33-35 combined.

this may sound stupid but how many miles does anyone get roughly to say £20-25 worth of fuel out of their 1.8 20vt?

I have a (almost) standard LCR 210 and on an average commute to work of about 20mins of mixed A roads, motorway and city jams i get about 27-30mpg. This is driving quite carefully.

It goes up to 33-35ish on average for long motorway trips. I believe a remap might improve this a little, so it's on the cards.

I'm just testing how far I can get (mileage) on half a tank with mixed driving. Currently quarter of a tank of Shell V Power 99RON has got me about 70 miles.

Time for a threadsurrection!

Since my last post I am almost at stage 2 and my first estimate wasn't quite accurate.
City driving and A roads I get about 25 to 27mpg, and on motorways I can average 33.7mpg! :)

i get about 35-40 mpg on motorway an 30ish on normal driving. If give it some it goes down but sticking at 80ish on motorway i get easy 35mpg an last week put 25 quid in an got 190 miles but was driving carefull most time.i'm runnin stage 2 amd an going from stage 1 map to 2 has improved fuel. The car can give good mpg if you don't drive like you have stolen it. Get the 20vt won't regret it :) i've had the 180 bhp an a cupra r as my 2nd car love it. Just wish could use power easier in wet.

I previously had a 20VT FR which seemed to average around 26mpg... maybe it would have done a bit more once it was run in  Didn't keep it long enough to find out. I part ex'd it for my LCR which averaged around 28mpg when new, which surprised me a little... same roads, same driving style  Just thought it would have been less than the FR, not more. Biggest surprise of all, I've regularly been getting 30mpg since having a phase 2 remap - in fact the trip computer (2) says I've done 29.7mpg since my last service (last time it was reset). :)

The trip computer isnt that accurate... so its best to work it out properly...

Fill car up with fuel till the pump clicks once... then drive till fuel light comes on then refill till pump clicks once. Reset trip meter.

You can then see how much fuel you have used against trip meter.

I get 310-320 miles per tank average which works out to 30mpg... best I've seen is 360 miles to a tank and that was driving like my old man... it always does 300 miles minimum to a tank...

i've just managed to get 36.2 mpg (tank average) out of my 1.8t sport 180bhp doing a roughly 50/50 mixed city/open A road run from Sheffield to Worksop of 18 miles each way, i did mostly careful driving but did give it the odd boot and air con on most of the time. I've worked this out doing 1 gallon = 4.54 litres x X litres used to cover X miles as i don't have a fuel computer.

considering the 1.8 turbo petrol engine, power, weight of the car it's pretty damn good
