He's out of the country, don't really know how he's meant to do it from there?

Also, if it stated this in the original advert (which it did) then if as a buyer you weren't interested in waiting then you could simply pass on the option and look elsewhere.

Willing to wait is one thing fella, waiting 5 weeks so far with no clear date still in sight I think it a bit slack if you're in the country or not.

If being out of the country hinders you from getting the car ready why not wait till you're back before you list it.

I personally would look elsewhere as it sounds like the car will be reverted almost back to standard anyway and there are plenty of nice examples about.

This thread has turned out a bit different than I thought lol.

Well it turns out I won't be gettin either car, the scooby is away and Als Leon is a no go now. To say I'm pissed is an understatement and I could rant on about how this was handled but I suppose that's just the way it goes.

Alan has been very apologetic about it all so that's that.

I have £12.5k here so if anyone knows of a nice mk2 cupra for sale then let me know. For that price it has to be very clean and be at least stage 2+ tune.

He just doesn't have the time to sort the car before it goes. I'm pretty gutted tbh as we both haggled and had a cheeky stab at each other for over a month before finally agreeing a deal. Its just the way it goes I guess. His work schedule is pretty bad. I'm now right back at the start lol.

Well I'm sure something will come up there is a K1 on trader with a price that is a little bit optimistic which I think with the stuff it has is ideal and what you are looking for.

Heard some horror stories about the early 2.5 scoobies.

Personally I'd go for a 2005 wide track model (last of the 2 L engines). With the Prodrive pack they're 305 bhp, 4.4 seconds to 60. No Cupra is getting near that ;)

If I can wait it out then so be it. I just hope Al does what he can to get it done and doesn't stop trying to sort it due to me looking else where if you get my meaning.
