The time has come to change my ibiza cupra tdi and its looking like the leon fr is top of the list.
Just wondered what options i should be looking for?
I know i want 18" alloys but what else. Anyone explain just what convienience pack and winter pack are?
Also will it seems slow after my remapped 160PD? The 170 would be remapped first week anyway.

You currently drive the Ibeza Cupra which I am not in a position to compare to the new Leon FR TDi.

All I can say is that I had a Mk1 Seat Leon 150 TDi PD Cupra and test drove the new TDi FR which, as a low milage driver, did not impress. Consequently, I have just purchased the new TFSI FR DSG:D:D:D.

Book a test drive and see what you think! Not withstanding what I have said above, if I was driving a lot of miles per year I would definately go for the FR TDi!!!

Leon FR top of my list too, got FR Mk1 leon the now, think i am goin for 18's, conveinence pack (rain sensor, light sensor and auto dimming rear mirror), some1 correct me if i am wrong!, also considering side skirts and rear spoiler.

Winter pack is headlight washer system and heated front washer nozzles, ( not sure if its worth it to be honest, but everyones different).

Mate,

Have you test driven your new option yet!

Forget about the add ons until you have done a test drive! With no disrespect the new Mk2 Leon FR TDi compared to your current motor may be brilliant. Just don't test drive the petrol versions!

Winter Pack includes heated seats too according to the brochure.

Thanks guys.

Had to work this weekend so never got to garage.
Want to change my Ibiza for something a bit bigger and looking at the 170 TDI engine. Will see what kind of deal i can get. Anyone remember how to get the free valuation service.

FR DTi - Changed my life.....!

Hi there

Other than the occasional dpf light, have found the TDi to be amazing, with lots of low rev acceleration (I never was one for racing to 7000 revs) and grin every time i see my average is between 40 and 45 mpg - even giving it some stick.

ry Seat Autoworld Sheffield for a quote, ask for Simon and mention my name - he was great to deal with.

As for options, would recommend the ones below (I dont think the 18s are too firm on the ride - but do improve handling imho).

Mike
57 FRTDi, Crono, 18", BT, Armrest (an absolute must), Chrome door pack, Muddies and Mats. £16350 new on the road....!

Judging by previous posts the options to have on a FR are:

1) Bluetooth
2) 18" alloys

The rest are really up to you, but I would have to agree that having Bluetooth is a good thing (wish that I could have it on my Leon Ref Sport)

I gather it is Mike or Colin at Bickets offering you this? Having a pre reg car means nothing. Buying from these guys is a bonus. They are genuine and will be there for you if you need them. It all helps. Best to deal local if at all possible. Get bluetooth though. If you don't you will regret it.

I'd say 18" rims & Blue tooth are a must, I also have factory Ipod set up, not much different than if I'd have had a aux connection, apart from your ipod is stored away in a little pocket under the drivers seat [B)]

So far I've added an armrest & some sill trims, later this week my black badgeless grill should arrive from SEAT-FACTORY..

Things I'm going to add to dress up th interior are some Golf Gti pedal covers & some silver door trims, I dont want to over do it with the shiney bits...

What did suprise me was that 18" come shod in P-Zeros:drool:

Since I picked her up friday afternoon I've done 300miles in her

I have today been to a few dealers to see whats available. Local dealer wants my 54 plate ibiza cupra tdi and £11800 to change for leon fr tdi with 18s, bt and aero kit.
Garage a few miles away has a 07 plate leon fr tdi with aero kit and same spec for £16995. Wants £8500 to change. Cars only done 3,300 miles so think maybe i can afford this one, someone has took a £4000 drop in two months
