What shouldn't happen with your lockin wheel nut and key :(

Can't believe what I just did!

Received my replacement wheel locking nut key the other day because I lost it somewhere. Gone to use it today and had no probs. Gone to take one of my rear wheels off to change the back brakes. Nuts seemed tighter then normal. Put my wheel locking key on the wheel locking nut, turned it then:

Go he-man

You'll have to drill a pilot hole in & use a stud extractor (like a reverse tap that jams itself in as you tighten it) then undoes the bolt (hopefully)

Ouch!

Like mOrk said, easy-out's should sort it. I've used them loads in the past and they work really well!

After closer inspection and a call down to the garage I use.

Need to take my wheel cap off, and take the wheel off via the hub.

Drilling it out isn't an option it appears from the outside of the wheel that faces away from the car.

surc if you can get the wheel off you can get the res of that out, you need to drill it as mentioned above to give the reverse thread extractor something to bite into then it comes out easily.

If you're on drums you'll not get them off without the wheel coming out....

Do as I say, wheel on the car & you'll be fine.

You won't have done it up tight without lubrication anyway (I hope) so it'll just come out.

Well for £30 you might as well go and buy a set of those reverse drills and give it a go yourself. Then I'd send the company who sold you the locking wheel key the photos you have just posted up and get a refund. Especially if you have only just bought it.
