Ok, im with you, pros and cons for both cars.

With regards lowering it, I will be getting some 18s, 225 tyres, nothing too wide.

Are Eibachs the springs to buy? I cant afford coilies or a full kit if I go for the remap/cupra bumpers

get some eibach sportlines pal iv just had some fitted

Another couple of things to consider:

- the pre-facelift FR has a (in)famously firm ride. Make sure you get a decent test drive to make sure you could cope with it (unless you're planning to upgrade shocks as well as springs).
- if you want the DSG gearbox, you'll need to get a facelift model if you want diesel... pre-facelift, only the TFSI model was available with DSG

I think if I were you, I'd stick with the one you've got and maybe swap it later.

Eibach is defo your best bet if you cant afford coilovers. Need to get mine rolling roading to see whats its running before the hybrid but thus far i have a custom exhaust, pipercross induction kit and revo remap :)

Is it worth saving up for the coilies? I want the car to be low, not just 20-30mm lower.

Yup, its decided, Im keeping it. Missed out on a cheap BTCC kit tho , but there are Cupra bumpers going cheap too, so I think thats the way to go

Dowie, if your going to pop over to TTS Roadsport, i might tag along(if im not working) they look professional enough and would be nice to have a chat with them to see what they can do.

Will let you know when I go Martin, although they responded to an email, with a quote of £458 for a Revo remap. Is this cheap. pricey, average? That included a road test before and after

I wish I had £1000, but I think springs for now, then save up!
