What type of oil on hybrid turbo ?

Hello guys I have Seat Leon 2008 TDI BMN engine 220.000km, K&N Panel filter, downpipe 76mm and complete straight pipe 63mm. I got my turbo 1749vc to hybrid 1752, What type of oil should I use the car was running on 5-30w but the tuner told me for that kind of turbine that I need to run on 5-50 or even 10-60. Thoughts on this ?

May be better to ask this in the Mk2 Leon forum as that's what you have.

But to answer it here, if the tuner is recommending a thicker oil then I'd stick with the manufacturer spec and maybe consider not going back to that tuner.

Going to a 50 or 60 oil on these engines is a bad idea. The turbo should be fine on 5-30, the engine won't be on 10W-60
