Love my 300hp
Ateca VZ2 (that I bought from Swansway) and one week later took it up to the Isle of Mull for a family holiday. I got an average of 35.6mpg, which was better than I expected over the 1200 miles in the fortnight, including the motorway trips at a steady 70mph each way plus some 'sprightly' driving beyond the motorways, and on the island. This was full-tank to full-tank, not the car's own fuel consumption info, which is way too optimistic!
But back home, it normally averages around 26-28mpg on mixed use, but around town it's low 20's even with a light right foot
When I bought it, I knew the car would be thirsty, but I wanted the excellent performance it gives, before the insurance starts rocketing in price due to my age (I'm now 70).
This coming Saturday, it'll be the Safety Car on track at Aintree, so it'll be interesting to see how that affects consumption!
If I had wanted economy, I'd have bought an economical car, but it's the performance that grabbed me when I decided to buy it.
