I doubt anyone on here would give you that much once they read that you put a map on, had all sorts of problems and then took it off again.....
I've just walked past Newbury Audi who are currently offering in the region of £18k on an 07 S3 trade in with average miles.
Our car has 6k miles less than 'average miles'. Their car has 23,600 miles and is up for £22.6k!!!
They offered us over £4k less and the cars are the same spec.
Seems no consistency to pricing at the moment.

Unfortunately the value of cars usually only goes one way... Down...
Based on a FR being worth 50% after 3 years (which is quite optomistic) you would be looking at around £8500 depending on the RRP at the time. Options make no difference to the value really.
From experience most depreciation is in years 1 and 2 with very little in the third year in comparison so £9600 is spot on.
I also don't think it helps that SEAT have flooded the market with FR's, at least half the Leons I see on the road are FR's.
I agree though with the comment of prices being all over the place. I've been keeping an eye out on the internet for my old Cupra and prices seem to vary by £2000 between dealers for a similar age and mileage.

You are 22 have a bloody nice car that most 22 year old's would want, so maybe you just need to accept your stuck with it for the moment and enjoy it instead of lusting after something you cant have....

its not so much wantin what you cant have but knowing youve spent good money on a car and watching it go down drasticly like it has done n theres nothing you can do ha. now im in negative equaity i think. oh well samew as rest of country then!
It is depressing, a dealer told me that according to the book a Cupra lost £500 a month and that was back in August before the market got as bad as it is now.
Even in better times you need to keep a car 2 to 3 years to avoid negative equity unless you pay a massive deposit or have very high monthly repayments.
If its any consolation quite a few people on the TT forum are moaning as well. A TT used to be a 6 month waiting list and a used one from a main dealer would cost you as much as list price, not anymore...

The Cupra and TT are two different cars, especially since I have the TDi TT with Quattro.
The TT is vastly better built than the Cupra and used better quality parts, but the spec is lower as standard and some nice features that Leons have are missing, for example even with the extra auto mirrors pack I have to manually fold the wing mirrors from within the car. Brakes aren't as good either.
Ecomony on the TT is amazing though, easily 20 mpg over the Cupra, 50 mpg achievable no problem on a run, the Cupra would do 30 mpg on the same run and overall average is about 46 mpg.
Performance is at a slight loss over the Cupra but then again there is 70 bhp difference. The torque makes up for some of this though.

I think my Cupra might have just been a bad one.
My dealer was **** even as I was buying the car, at one point it was delayed by 6 weeks. They had lost track of my order and all sorts. The service did improve then went downhill rapidly :-(
I would even go as far as to say they were incompetent, putting the wrong oil in isn't good...
