Wheel advice needed,do 8inch wide wheels fit a mk5 ibiza

i'm having some banded steelies made up for my mk5 ibiza to run as winter wheels, the wheels are 16inch mk4 vw golf steelies but i'm having them banded to 8inch wide all round so i'll be running 8x16 banded steelies plus i'll be on coilovers as well.

just wondering if anyone knows if i can run 8inch wide wheels all round on a mk5 ibiza with out any problems.

If your having them made up why not make them the same width as Standard wheels? Also if your putting winter tyres on you may find that thinner wheels are better than wide wheels in snow

was originally going to run 8j on front & 8.5j on rear to run staggered wheels but decided to run 8j all round plus i'm not fitting winter tyres cause i might run banded steelies all year round if i lose my job in the new year. if i've still got my job after the new year i will buy a set of rotiform nue or blq wheels or roti grids wheels to achieve hellaflush look.

i just want to know if anyone has fitted 8inch wide wheels to a mk5 ibiza without any problems.

I run 18"8J, so 16" 8j shouldnt be a problem either.

banded steelies will getting made up in september so i'll be running 8x16inch mk4 golf banded steelies throught out winter. got a few more coming along as well so will start a readers ride thread soon as the mods start.
