Wheel spacers, what type? What size?

Alright guys, after seeing a scirocco with 235 wide tyres and 10mm spacers fitted (20mm per axle) I know want some fitted to my 08 2.0 TDI. I've got 225- 18's and want to know how wide any of you have gone with spacers?
What type spacers have you fitted? What's best? The ones that bolt to the hub and you bolt your wheels to them or ones that you have to have longer bolts that bolt through?
What's the best brand?

What wheels are you running and is the car lowered?

The most popular option we do for the Leon 1P is 10mm front and 15mm rear but this will depend on what's wheels you're running.

Hi Damian,

I've got the standard BBS SPORT 18's fitted. Car is lowered on Eibach Sportlines 50mm front, 35mm rear.

Ive got et 35 wheels with 25 mm spacers on the rear and 5mm spacers on the front, bolt through ones. The wheel rim sits perfectly flush with the body work now and the tyre sits just inside the arch. Easily the best mod ive done

I was going to and keep meaning to get it done ....... but to be honest I cant notice any difference!

For 10mm and 15mm you'll only be able to get bolt through, bolt on are generally 20mm and above.
