Hi all, i'm just worndering, i'm lowering my car on coilovers in the next 2 wks, i intend to go about -60mm if not a but more, but i have been told i need a modified anti roll bar or shorter anti roll ar links, i've found the modified anti roll bar, but was wondering are the links cheaper (i have the plastic ones as std).
Many Thanks,
Wayne.

60mm is ridiculous i think, i think 40mm is a perfect drop most people agree, 50mm at the most, careful with your sump if you do go that low ;)

i've never been one to conform to "the norm" i have a mate and she's lowered her -40mm and i think it'll just look better with another -20mm, i had a mk2 gold many yrs ago and i lowered that -110mm and well..... to say it was on it's arse was an understatement.

Basically i want the tyres on top of my 18's in the back arches. ;)

After lowing my citroen saxo -40mm I certainly won't be lowering my Seat Ibiza when I get it.
It really ****ed up the handling and the confort of the drive (wasnt great anyways but still) Yeah it looks cool, but im opting for the drive and comfort this time.

plus too it will eat the tyres.....my 60mm lowered focus used to got through them every 8000 miles.

that because nobody seems to change camber or toe in/out when lowering cars by that much
anyhow i have a 40mm rop and the sump has catched a lot and the bumpers all the time go for it if your confident but myself personally would not even think of it

60mm is definitely possible just look at Slick's. Problem you will have is you will catch the sump and damage the car. However Slick's car isnt decked and his arches sit around 15mm from the wheel so his drop is around 55mm I THINK....queue slick!

Here is his car

I doubt you can go lower than that without catching the sump.

5-8yrs ago slamming cars was fine, nowadays its just not practical. Our roads are ****, our speed controls (speed bumps) are getting out of control and seem to be getting higher and higher round here....

I wait for the day I go over one and beach myself. As a funeral car did not so long ago.

I once beached my Mk.2 Uno after lowering it somewhere between 80-100mm on Uno Cup springs and shocks (they were done for the race series and I managed to blag a set for my road car) I was running 13's on it and they were in the arch at the back. I was going to a restaurant on the St. Marks retail park in Lincoln and as I was going over the speed 'hump'[:@] and heard a scraping and then no forward or backwards movement. Luckily my mates were following and we had to pretty much pick it up to get it over the hump.

So I'm a little wary of going to low nowadays but might go with the weitec 30mm springs. [B)]

but alot of run of the mill cars have no camber adjustment on them, and getting the parts to do it arent readly available,

can you get camber adjustmet for the leon?
