Ive got a tiny broken air pipe comeing off the front of the inlet manifold on my 16v where should it go to? I can only find one end.

Also there is a oil breather on the front of the engine with what looks like a plastic cover ontop of it, should oil be comeing out of that?

I do drive it fairly hard maybe the old gal is letting go?

That plastic tube, if its the one im thinkin of, is between the 2nd and 3rd branch of the manifold? I dont know what it is but the bigger one on its left is the fuel pressure regulator maybe its something along the same lines?, and I wouldnt have thought it would be a good sign if its leaking oil. As for your small broken pipe the only one I can think it would be is the small breather pipe that goes into your `mushroom`(front leftish).Remove the mushroom cover and just replace it, you can get breather pipe from any auto store, a few pence a foot. Sorry cant be any more help try and get a pic up..

it is the pipe with a screw in tje end of it just behind the dip stick, also what is underneath th square plastic cover to the left of the pic?

it goes to a round plastic thing to do with the engine breather undernieth that black plastic square bit

Ahhh so it does go inderneath that black plastic bit. Does ot matter if there is some oil comeing out of that breather?
