where is the catalytic converter ??

may sound really thick now but had my car up on jacks few days back painting the calipers, and i was looking underneath and i couldnt see the cat? lol is it in the manifold at the very top ? because my mate was painting his brakes aswell and hes got a 1.4tsi cupra and he couldnt see his cat either ? anybody shed any light on this lol

i dont no mate lol couldnt see it at all on both cars ?? unless its covered in the engine bay somewhere
