I'll be honest I dont really know the specific numbers, im think a stage 2 150 unit is a gt1756, as its 1749vb standard. i think power outputs on stage 1 are 200-220, and stage 2 220+ but not 100%. A gt20 impellor is on stage 2 i think. So I think you got a better deal than me!, did they supply a new unit and hybrid it for that price? because thats very cheap if so, Ive been qouted £895. +carriage +vat.

phoned them eariler, and they said that i have got a stage 1 hybrid with a stage 2 impellor! the most i can get is about 230 bhp, but i want a smooth power curve so will prob have about 215 to 220 bhp! i think this is more than enough at the mo! mayb think about getting stage 2 and water / meth kit next summer!

with a stage 2 i am not sure whether the sach uprated cluch and dual mass whywheel are strong enough - dont quote me on that tho!

getting my car back on friday with custom map finished! will let you kno hoe quick she is - prob getting RRd wkend after too so wil post results!!

sounds good im very jealous! I'm still going to go staright for the stage 2, no point doing same job again but for a bit more power. And im going from standard 130, staright to 220bhp-ish, and 350 lbs ft torque-ish, so it will be one hel off a transformation. Just won a second hand cupra air intake and box today of ebay, halfway there on FMIC intercooler, then its clutch, turbo, and remap. Simples! Although it may be into the summer next year when its finished, but thats good, i dont want to go from standard to silly power in winter!

So are you running a Sachs clutch kit?, I cant decide, I've contacted awesome gti who can get both sachs and helix kits, Helix say there kit is only rated upto 350lbs ft of torque, When hybrid i'll be running this sort of torque plus more maybe? But alot of people on here speak highly of them. A sachs kit will definately take the torque and is claimed to take 400 lbs ft + with SMF, but is alot more expensive. I think i'll end up going for the helix kit in the end, as the whole kit including smf is only £736+vat.

i am running the sach clutch kit! i am thinking of the water methenal and stage 3 turbo next summer so wanted to get the highest rated one! if you need a dmfw let me kno as i have a spare one, almost brand new, has done about 1000 miles!

i think it mayb worth you getting a decat exhaust will make the whole system flow better and will get better gains from the remap!

i think with the mods i got i should be looking at about 220 bhp with prob 350 + lbs torque. got rolling road day booked for sunday so will post up!

Go on then as i have to ask. What are you calling a stage three turbo and why would you want to run water/meth for on your setup ?

not 100% sure but prob a hybrid pd 150 or 170 turbo, with the meth to reduce the bellowing blck smoke!

its only a plan atm - only just getting my stage one/ two back!

as for the stages of the hybrid turbo - CR turbo says i am having a stage one but i think you and a few others have posted up that the GT2052 - that i have got is actually stage 2 - confussed!!!!

A PD170 turbo wont fit on the PD130 engine due to the turbo manifold ;)

These are the best prices i've found:-

SCM Turbomotive Ltd will supply a new PD150 turbo for £633 inc VAT and Delivery.

CR Turbos will hybrid a stg 1 for £236 inc VAT and Delivery
CR Turbos will hybrid a stg 2 for £293 inc VAT and Delivery.

So Stg 1 = £869 all in.
Stg 2 = £926 all in.

My question is the price difference between stg 1 and stg 2 isnt massive, but would a stg 2 be ok running 215-220BHP? or would it loose performance cos its rated at 220-240bhp?

I'm no expert but, a turbo that doesn't have to work as hard would surely last longer? so stage 2 turbo running 215-200bhp would be fine, when it is mapped all this can be taken in to account, I'm going to be going with stage 2 turbo and be running around those figures also, I'm sure an expert will answer this for you soon.

thats pretty inpressive mate! i am getting just less than 220 bhp with 360 lbft with a st2 pd130 hybrid off cr turbo's - they messed the first turbo up i had which gave me about 2 months of hell, then would pay for any of my bills of mapping after admitting they had given me a dodgy turbo! then when i had another one back, Rs tuning had to fiddle with the mechanism @ my expense! and i still aint had the gains that i should b happening! not best pleased with Cr turbo''s to be honest!

i have 267bhp with a md 376 out of my 150fr leon

What extra fueling are you using as that is more power then what the stock injectors can produce.

220bhp sounds about correct for a hybrid PD130 KKK turbo. What power did you expect or was told you could get?
