Hi guys I'm looking for an aftermarket double din head unit for my Cupra. But don't know which one to buy

It must have:
colour touch screen ideally 6-7”
DVD playback
USB and full iPod Control

Budget is £300-£350

Doesn't need to have SAT Nav or Bluetooth as I have the factory fitted Bluetooth system already in the car.

Any help or suggested units would be much appreciated :D

TIA

have a look on caraudiosecurity.co.uk

spoilt for choice. im liking some of the jvc units are the front can be removed when your cars parked and unattended

Check out a kenwood ddx419, these look pretty good. I've been thinking of getting one myself.

Thanks guys, I've narrowed it down to:

Pioneer AVH-P1400 DVD
Sony XAV 601bt
Kenwood DDX419

But which one lol? Head is turned thinking about this. Don't want to buy the wrong one and regret it a few months down the line

Personally I'd go for the kenwood, less money and IMO looks better.

all my connectors and wiring for my D-Din are up and behind the climate control dials and vents.
so would have to take that out as well to route the wires back out, aswell as rip the fascia off too!

ofcourse its doable, but if someone wants something that bad, any form of security is only a deterent. there is no guarentee.

I've been looking into this too. I'd rule out the XAV601 as that's more android than ipod (which is what I need)
There's an iphone compatible Pioneer at Halfords for £149, bargain as it's still almost £300 at most other car audio sites.....
It's the SPH-DA02 (I can't post links yet!!)

Ignore me - I just realised you need DVD playback.

iv all ways gone for alpine headunits there abit Expensive, i say if you want Quality you need to pay for it.

car audio security lot have got a good sale on at the mo too or ya could look a flee bay.

what iv just started to look into is the double din from the vw RCD510 they look quite good

I can't fault the JVC KWAV60BT

It's made for iPod and works great, it can also play DVDs on the move providing you connect the parking brake cable to ground (as with every other unit) and it has a good screen too.

Don't discount it too easily, especially since its a lot cheaper than others.

That RCD510 looks very nice, not sure about having a VW splash screen every time you boot it up though lol unless I didnt read into it and you can take it off :)
