Hi there everyone long-time-no-post.

Right I have bought myself another, bog standard '52 1.2 12V Ibiza (this is my third). The first two I just kind of kept standard; this one however, because it was a bit of a bargain, I am thinking of doing some slight upgrades to it. I'm thinking alloy wheels, lowering springs, nice new exhaust and maybe even stick disc brakes on the rear.
And it is definitely in need of a new paint job- it's a dirty shade of green with a few dents and scratches. I know someone who runs a body shop so this shouldn't be too big an issue anyway.

Any suggestions regarding brand of these items, or anything else you think I should do to the car?

BTW reason it's only a 1.2 is for insurance purposes! A young lad like myself would seriously struggle insuring an FR or something unfortunately :(. What it lacks in power, grip and performance it more than makes up for in... well... not much really but I like the car.

Oh yeah one more thing, I've never posted a picture on this before; can I import a picture from my computer or do I need a URL of somewhere it is posted online?

Thanks a lot.

Personally having modded cars that start off bog standard I would advise anyone just to save and put it towards a car you want other than one you have to have.

I definitely have the ability to do these modifications; I was just wandering what sort of things people have done to their Ibizas that I can do to my own. Plus, who wants to buy a car that is exactly how you want it at the time of purchase? That's no fun.

Another thing, does anybody have any experience fitting VW Golf GTI monza 18" wheels to their ibiza? Can get hold of some just wandering if it's worth it.

Wouldn't bother with any performance mods on the 1.2... for the money spent the gains are just too small.

I've fitted a K&N panel filter which they claim improves power, I noticed no difference in power but it does sound slightly throatier in the mid-range. Best bit is the mpg has improved about 6 mpg over standard filter. :D

Exhaust... wouldn't bother with a fancy stainless one, save your money and just put a nice tip on it.

I'd just focus on aesthetic and interior mods, it's what I've done to mine.
