Hello people.

After just having to pay £205 to that bloody tax man im a bit skint. Myself and my mates have noticed i have bad swirl marks on my car and so i need to do something about it asap.

Ive had quotes of around £200 for a professional detailer to do the job but i just can afford that at the minute.

With the summer coming up i just want to know what is the best swirl remover i can buy and do by hand.

Also going to order some nattys blue wax as that seems to be what most people are using.

Car is a black ibiza mk3 by the way

Thanks

MEguiars Scratch X is good to use by hand... as is Poorboys SSR2.

You could also use a sealent with a few fillers in to hide some of the deeper scratches, something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish or Clearcote vanilla hand glaze.

Hope this helps

Scratch X is not designed to be used for a whole car, its more for spot repairs. You'd end up with arms like popeye trying to sort that! Sadly the only answer to remove swirls is a machine polish, but as Sisson says, in the meantime you might find an improvement to get by with. Autoglym SRP and Megs NXT Wax (sealant) both contain a lot of fillers. You could then top those with Natty's as you already have it.

Super resin polish ive heard is very very good and cost effective for what it does. you should aim at getting it to look as spot on as possible and then sealing it and applying a wax as you say nattys blue (for a black car) or ive just bought some P21S which ive heard nothing but good things about

I can't say I rate P21s at all I'm afraid - its very easy to use which is a plus point, it looks ok but nothing special, and the durability is rubbish. Definitely one that needs very regular top ups.

mate look at my signature at the bottom and see wat i used and the results on the bonnet

Cheers lads

Im gonna give the "Menzerna Intensive Polish" a go and see what results i can get. Anything will look better than it does now.

Ill try and get a before and after pics up. Ill have to wait for a dry weekend though.
