hi folks, i am doing my infinity upgrade at the moment, just wondering which wire i need to cut on the autoleads adaptor...i know i have searched but it will take me all day to go through all of the threads.

cheers owen

i thought it was that one so i just went ahead and done it, all 4 speakers are in and sound so much better. to be honest i didnt think the standard speakers were that bad until i fitted these ones.

cheers

i fancy a upgrade on my speakers but i am against cutting wires will the new speakers just fit in of will i have to cut wires ??

also do the tweeters work wit the new speakers ??? and do i need any type of adaptaors??

cheers

You cut the wires on the adapter that you buy, not any original wiring, so everything can be put back to as it was out of the factory.
The wires that you cut (part of adapter) disconnect the original tweeters so that only those on the new speakers are used, which are much, much better.

So, if you wanted to ... you could just put the originals back in and everything would work like it used to?

I think I'm going to have to do this upgrade soon. I also have THE most annoying rattle coming from somewhere on my passenger door, seems to be coming from around the speaker area, but I took the cover off and all of the torx screws holding the speaker in were tight... could it be something behind those?

It only does it at 50mph plus and it's fairly intermittant. That is, it doesn't always happen each time I'm in the car, but when it does it's there to stay for the duration of the journey.

is it a bitch of a job to do , or is it quite easy ??
also what speakers do i need and what are the adaptors ?
