Hello i have a 1.4 turbo diesel Seat arosa,
this last week there is a high pitcvh whistling noise when im driving over 30mph, as soon as i lift the clutch up it stops and the same with the gas,
it struggles to reach 50mph and even slows down so i have to put it in 4th gear, its usually really nippy
Some one i know recons its my turbo or i have a leak in one of my pipes
can anyone else give me a second opinion please before i get ripped off from a garage
thanks

Its amazing how much noise a small hole in a boost pipe can make - my bro in laws vectra has a small hole in the boost pipe and its soo loud! Nearly had to change my pants when I blew a pipe off my car once

Most likely to be a boost pipe. Look for any signs of oil mist contamination.

Give it a good looking at and let us know.
