Cheers for all the info guys and even the offer of an evo :). Think I've decided... The cupra is due a service and cambelt soon so going to get that out of way and sort out a few little niggles I have with the car and see what I can get for it around spring/summer and look at importing and evo if I can't find a decent one in the UK, what mark evo I still Dno .

In the mean time I've been looking at getting a diesel fiesta for a daily

Sounds like a sensible plan. I also have a diesel daily for the work commute and other long boring journeys. Means I'm free to enjoy the Evo without worrying about putting thousands of work miles on it, it's exactly what i wanted. A weekend toy :)

That's exactly what I want, something to pull out on my days off and maybe even take it to the odd track day.

As much as I want one for the winter you've guys have gave me Alot to think about so no point rushing and ending up with a donkey.

Just stumbled across this thread. If you're looking for an Evo and want a good condition one the have a look at SVA (based down Kent way) and DCY (York). Both import Evos and both have a good selection of decent cars.

I own an Evo 6 and a Mk 2 Leon FR. The Evo would be expensive to run as a daily use car (its 500+ bhp) but they can be reasonably reliable if you get a good one and look after it. Buy a bad one though and it will empty your wallet quicker than you can say "where did all my cash go"

Check out the buyers guides on the MLR. It's not a bad forum and full of useful info and helpful guys (along with a few muppets as well)

I've owned this for 13+ years now.
