Why don't they do sports pedals as an option on Leons?

They are in the accessories catalogue as an option for the (less sporty in my opinion) Ibiza yet not for the Leon forcing people to tinker themselves which surely is an accident waiting to happen & seems a bit dodgy at least.
Even all Honda Civic's (except the very basic entry level model) come with alluminium pedals.

Obviously you also get them on the Cupra.

But the main one is that you can get them for the Ibiza but not for the comparitively BTCC like TDI FR's etc. I've seen on an advert on the back of Auto Express them say that the only difference between the BTCC car & the TDI FR is the road car has an interior light & the angine just hasn't been tweaked. Let's start with the obvious basics that are easy to make the same like sports pedals!!!

What gives?

Totally agree - when I bought my Leon FR, that was the first mod I changed and it cost me a oner to do so!

I agree. I hadn't even had my FR 12 hours before I'd swapped out the pedals for MK V GTi pedals (I'd ordered them a couple of weeks in advance in preparation).

They really help to finish off the interior.

Its very easy, the brake and clutch literally pop off and the throttle only has a torx screw and some clips holding it in! :)

What about DSG cars?

Guessing there must be something available for the R32 / GTi / FR that could be put on, and if so, where from and how much?

Cheers

indeed. see that to me only looks as it should, looking as good as it does. It really needs them though, I think it looks inadequate without them & design wise falls at the last fence..

You must have been hiding under a rock when I started a thread complaining about the lack of pedals for the DSG FR's. I eventually bought mine from someone on this site, but try www.vagparts.com for what you're looking for.

The only thing I couldnt find, was the dead-pedal, or rather I could, but it was stupidly expensive.

Its quite ironic that this has appeared today as I have changed mine today. Mine is a DSG and it was so easy. I am completely non mechnically minded but following the guide on the FAQ thread it was so easy.

I got the parts from VAGparts. It cost me £80.
