its very tight between the lcr & the frs but tbh i think the frs is winning slightly bud for 1 of the reasons being i love the ford rs scene. the shows ect are fantastic to go to & make loads of new mates ect.

hi. im nick i curently own a clio 182 cup. (i hate it)it handels crap, gets no looks & i think its slow. in the very near future i will be changing my car either to a megane sport, focus st or a leon cupra. ive always liked the beefy look of the leon trouble is ther aint that many round my way to look at or even go & see on a forcourt. i prefer the mk1 especialy as the mk2 is now out it should be a bit cheaper hopfully.lol. can any one tell me what they are like to live with, reliability, as an everyday car, trackday toy, long distance & on the twisties also a rough fuel economy would be very helpfull. cheers all. nick.;)

I´ve owned my 210 LCR from new since March '03, and I'm very happy with it. Good reliability, good practicality as an everyday car, fantastic for long distances (it´s fast and relentless). I've never taken it on a track though. Average mpg is 23. On motorways at 70mph, you could run 32 mpg.

This is a car I intend to keep until it dies, and I'm being serious! :D.
And it still looks stunning I must say, compared to many cars out there.

The thing with the LCR is the suspension is obviously tuned for road use and copes well on the crap roads we have over here. This is in comparison to the FRS which can be pretty appalling on anything other than perfect surfaces.

The R's prettier as well ;)

It's an easy decision.

You can have a well-built, responsive, comfortable, safe - and-yet-quick car - or you can buy something built by Ford.

Don't get me wrong, the RS is an excellent car - and it's easily their best looking focus.

But it's one of the most uncomfortable rides i've ever had - and essentially if it's no fun to drive, it's about as ideal as a waterproof sponge.
