Hey, i have just put on a cupra R strut brace and PD 160 intake now my car has a mystery noise when i am accelerating and slowing down but not when the car is idling.
any ideas?

What kind of noise? Is the brace knocking against anything? engine cover maybe.
I put a Seat sport strut brace on my car a few weeks back and it catches on the standard airbox and engine cover and I can hear it when I first start the car and when it's idling and setting off from a standstill.

ye it could well be! i am nt sure how t stop it! i think that it is the strut brace as supposed t the intake! is there any thing i can do t stop it? or just get used to it?
It will be the strut brace knocking against the engine cover (If you have one) you need to cut away part of the engine cover... possibly
Well if it's knocking on the engine cover you can take it off, it's only held in place by one bolt I think then it just pops off, I took mine off then realised it was the airbox that was causing the problem for me. If it's the airbox then it's a good excuse to buy an induction kit lol, failing that you may have to look at getting something placed between the brace and the airbox to dull the sound. I just for testing purposes wedged some rag in between the two just to confirm it was that which was making the noise. I'm not sure if it's possible to alter slightly the position of the box to maybe move it an inch or so to give you some clearance between the two parts.
