Wilksey's Silver Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8T

I'm now the proud owner of a Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8T registered late 2000 on an 'x' reg.

I've seen sense and purchased a proper car, good built quality and a hell of a lot more reliable than my previous cars.

I collected the car Friday from a local lad and have since been trying to sift through the school folder of paper work to try and find out what kind of spec the car is. I was told by a previous owner the car is running around 275bhp at the fly and over the course of it's 10 year life has had over 10k spent on it which in all honesty I can believe fully, as I still have receipts dating back to 2002 for amounts of £1000 plus.

Here is the spec to the best of my knowledge :-

Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8T
X plate registered 2000
127'000 on clock (recently rebuilt)
Silver with black wrapped roof and black wrapped bonnet
New timing belt kit
New brake servo pipe
New water pump
New rear bump stop
New oil filter
plus lots more (10 years worth)

Forge/samco boost pipe set
20mm hubcentric spacers
Dynatwist/green cotton induction kit with custom cold air feed
cupra r spliter
HID kit
Forge front mounted intercooler
k03s turbo
Full blue flame turbo back system with custom straight through centre section into 6x4 oval
N249 boost bypass
Forge dump valve and tip hoses
wietec suspension kit with aftermarket strut brace
EBC discs and red stuff pads all round
yoykohama parrada spec 2 tyres all round 17" bbs alloys sprayed anthracite
stage 2 ( 1 off custom jabba sport map) with 4 bar regulator mapped on optimax
evo tec boost and oil temp gauges
G60 clutch out of a golf vr6 and jabba sport spec lightnened and balanced fly wheel
Limited slip gear box
1.5 bar of boost
no receipts to prove but was told it's got forged internals which to run 1.5 bar on standard internals makes me believe it has but again no proof just word of mouth from previous owner.

As stated the car made as near as makes so difference 255bhp on the dyno with it's previous exhaust system which was only a powerflow cat back which I can emagine restricted the power beyond belief. As mentioned in the above spec the car now has a 3" blue flame turbo back with custom downpipe so I have had reasonable estimates the car is now running alot better estimates range between 265 and 275 at fly running on optimax fuel.

Future plans are just a tidy up and maybe fit a k04s turbo and new coilovers unsure of make yet but possibly gaz, spax or bilstein. I'm going to give her full service and that will be it for the time being. As with all my cars I always have a summer set of alloy's and a winter set of alloys so im contemplating on some D90's in black for the summer and the bbs for the winter.
After all it's only day 3 of ownership so let's see what the future brings.

Here are a couple of pic's ive managed to take just to give you a glimpse more pictures to follow after a nice clean and polish and a trip into the country somewhere.
can I have peoples opinions as it only makes for a better car in the future.

Thanks for taking the time to look

Thanks. Yeh the wheels are different like you said you don't see many of them on cupra's although im after some standard cupra wheels in gloss black with an orange lip as my winter set of alloys.

Honestly?

The roof is mint you would think it is painted untill you went up close and had a look.

Cheap as chip's compared to painting aswell althought I bought mine like it.

The bonnet is good aswell but because it's thinish vinyl stone chips are a problem.

Overall I'd say go for it...

If you don't like it heat gun it off again.

who did your rear lights mate, and do the indicators still flash amber, or do you need to fit l.e.d's?

Yes they do still flash amber mate, not as bright as using a clear lense but non the less still a noticable enough difference from the red to the amber. And cheers big daddy...mr wilkes ;)
