Will I get a 1.9TDi Stylance for £10-12k?

..of me being able to pick up a decent Stylance for in and around 10-12K.

I'm in my new job a few months and desperatly want to pick up a new(ish) Leon.

Ideally I'd love a 1.9TDi Stylance in black with the BTCC kit and have been keeping an eye out on a few sites online and the local papers but nothing has come up as of yet.

I found this site and obviously you guys know what you are talking about so I was wondering will I need to just dig a little deeper to get one or should I just sit tight and see what comes up?

I live in Belfast and would be willing to travel a bit if the right car came up.

I got mine from there. 2007 140 tdi sylance with full BTCC kit in Red..

dunno really. Picked up my 06 stylance (1.6) from SMC Windsor. Was originally 12k but was in sale to 11k and managed to get it for 10.5k and they throuhg in the car tax! That was October last year so imagine you could pick up a similar 06 or 56 for about the same etc now espically for a 1.9 which is easier to come by... you may find it difficult for the BTCC though

Did you get it new off them?
I did give them a ring last week and anything they had just wasn't exactly right for me.

Noticed in the papers today that a dealer in Belfast was doing a new 1.9 Stylance for £13,250.

That seems to be a great price for a new car but it was without the kit and still a bit more than I wanted to spend.

Still unsure what to do really.....

i got my 1.9tdi Stylance 55 reg (29th oct 2005) in July 2007 for £11.5k inc road tax, mats and tank of fuel. Had 7000k miles on the clock, in red.

No body kit thou . .

I bought mine in July 2007 too, 56 Reg with 6k miles, £13k only got the mats though.

Just back from looking at one this evening and I've put a deposit on it.

June 06 with 29k miles for £9750
No kit on it either but I may put one on it in time.

Going back on Friday to pick her up - can't wait!

What you want is a Stylance with the sport pack. This adds sports seats and the sports suspension. That's what i set out to get a year ago, as my sister has one and I liked it , apart from the slightly harsh, vibrations from the TDi unit. I drove 3 in all but could'nt live with the diesel (140bhp ) unit It was very quickin town but pulling on to a fast road and flooring it to 70 mph showed that it was not as quick as I had hoped either I was gutted. Then I drove th FR petrol and loved it so I decided to find a sport model which was top of the range at launch. I paid 13 k a year ago with only 4k miles and 11 months on the road from Sidlow nr gatwick.
My car is exactly the same spec as the stylance with the sport pack but it has the 185 bhp petrol unit. I love it. Your will realistically get an average of 37mpg out of the TDi but I only get a reasonable 29mpg out of the turbo petrol. I do love it though. You will get one for 12K from a dealer on a 55, or 06 plate and you will love any of them. Rich

If anyone is looking for a nearly new Leon, I work for a Rental company, that currently run Leon's on our fleet, which we are now eligable to sell on. These are mainly sold back to dealers, and trade centres, but should anyone be interested I am able to get a cost on a 'Trade' buy, from my company.

Leon 2.0 TDi Stylance
Leon 2.0 TDi FR
Leon 2.0 TFSi FR

These are all late 2007 57-plate cars, upto 6-months old, with upto 12,000 miles. As said, these are sold on a trade basis, therefore no P/X or Finance. UK cars, with remaining manufacturers warranty.
