As above really tried a google but can't seem to be sure

I have the 180 AUQ cupra engine and want to get a FMIC , just wanted to make sure It fits as online you don't see many listed for the cupra 180 but loads listed for mk4 golf which I believe the 150 and 180 1.8t are the same bar ko3 and ko3s

So will it fit if i get a mk4 golf one with the right map sensor hole size ?

Aftermarket FMIC's will be tailored to fit the bodywork of the car, which is (of course) different for the Golf. There isn't a lot of room and you may find that the Golf version doesn't quite fit. I'm sure there are people on here that have tried before now, so I'd hope one of them comes along soon...

I've found a Leon with a twin pass cooler on and worked out how to do it so will give that a go I think hope I can get it on

Won't fit unless you have the sport bumper. If you look on eBay the direnza fmic for the golf, Audi and cupra with auq is the same. I tried to fit the fmic to mines but has the smiley grill bumper and ended up butchering it to fit. Better to get a turborevs expanded smic all alloy 5" and use that. I'm stage 2+ @247bhp

Have you done the arch vent mod to channel air away and enlarged the bumper air intake area ?

Also what size map sensor did your car have 12'mm or 17mm ?

Yes have the vent mod and also fogs removed but still not coping with stage 2... 3 WOT runs to redline and its touching 77..., car holds back and adjusts about 55 degrees!

I'm almost 100% on 17mm as I think I had to drill the hole to fit

Yeah 17mm. Arch Mod and also fog lamp grill drilled out and filed to increase airflow to top corner. It is stage 2. Larger injectors and water methanol injection into TITP only way I could get close to the EGTs needed without the fmic.

You can buy the kit online for around £250. Seems excessive cost when you can get the fmic for less than 200 but my bumper won't accept it behind unless I'm looking at a 600 quid forge

So would you say get the twin pass fmic or save hassle and go smic ?
I want to get stage two and don't want to fit smic and be disappointed

Plus I only have this bumper ATM

That's the same as mine. Reason I had to go with the updated single. There was a post on here before where someone had a large twin pass modified to fit behind one of these but I'm pretty sure it ended up just close to the forge model prices.

Nothing is ever easy a R front bumper is like £350 in black ,
I got the part number of my map sensor and it suggests it's the 12mm one ( see my other post further down )

Before I buy I think I'll try get it out to make sure as I want to fit it hassle free ,

What bhp you running through that smic ?

If you wanna go with the fmic, I would try get the sport bumper. The one with the square grill in the middle

She made 247 with bio meth added but runs daily at 233. The lag in the twinpass is terrible too.
