It's just the mileage and fact that it was an msport that has value around that mark. Without them, it'd be around £4k max I reckon. Really am lost at what to do :(

Found a company that will re-manufacture the existing engine for £2200 and a 7-10 day turnaround. Gonna get that done and then sell off after. In the process if looking for the next car (e92 325)

Update on last post, got myself the e92 325 se (msport a little out of my price range) and I gotta say I'm loving the extra power and the straight 6 note :). get about the same mileage as my old one, cheaper tax and decent insurance. I say I'll keep it standard, but don't know how long that'll last lol.

I've got the worst luck with cars. I've already had to replace a faulty crankshaft sensor and now it's leaking oil :(
Anyway here's the pics

4 letter word begining with a c ....... hmmm???? lol

get the other wheels on the new beemer will make it look better imo and just sell the car as is or find a cheap second hand engine and drop that it for lot less money as wont get the money back spending loads on a new refurb engine

Unfortunately I looked around for a second hand engine and to get one and swap it over was gonna cost about the same, if not more than a refurb.
Anyway a pic of it on the truck going off to the remanufacturer driven by my brother, it didn't want to go on without a fair bit of scrapeage lol.
I'm gonna really miss it to be honest :(

No I'm really not. This new one has been such a nightmare it's put me off them for a long time. In the month I've had it, I've now had 4 problems. Crank sensor fail, sump gasket fail (twice) which meant removing front suspension and engine lift just to get to the bugger and a few days ago it started running rough as feck, which was a result of the vanos solenoid (just given a clean for now to see if it improves).

F**k bmws i'm getting a 350z.....
