Window regulator Mech

Hey all

bloody window fell in to the door today.. again.

it happened after inters as well, when the door was slammed with the window open. was fixed by taking the window out and regulator out and reclipping the grey clips back on.

however today the door was closed softly with the window open and clunk, there goes the window.

will the replacement clips off ebay fix this issue? or do i need a complete regulator. i know there was a thread about this already but hey.

any help is appreciated

yeah i think its the clips coming off the reg naz, as it sounds like the mech still works, i would get replacements off ebay (i think someone posted a link before)

mine did the same, the window holder on the right side was at the bottom of the door, re-clipping and its been fine (touch wood)

could you try something like putting a tie-clip between the clips fins (so it makes sure the clip stays in place) then chop off if you need to change it? if that makes sense?

i managed to clip them back on before but a light close of the door with the window down and its happened again, ive had to leave it open as im at work then going to drive back to birmingham then try and fix it.. replacement clips ordered.

just hope it doesnt rain between now and the journey home! also worried about going over a big bump and end up having the window smashed!

can you not get blocks of wood to keep it up in place mate?

them clips go all the time, its annoying!

lol. there aint even no tools in the office to get the door card off! just gonna have to be a steady drive from redditch to birmingham straight to the unit, to try and secure the window until the new clips come

oh and the windows completely off the regulator from both ends and fully dropped into the door

can you shove something into window gap if the glass is still showing to keep it propped, or has it hit the bottom and no piece showing?
