Window has dropped on os front door. Removed door panel and managed to take window out to find one of the plastic clips snapped. The chord is also mangled around the regulator/ motor point.
Would like to replace the whole regulator kit but for life of me cant see how i can access it? The inner metal door panel is not budging, ive unscrewed it, wiggles but not coming out.
Question would it make my life a lot easier if i took the door lock off? Will the metal panel then come off?? And would this make taking the regulator out any easier? i cant see how the regulator comes off or even access it.
At the mo i am thinking its impossible and will have to take it, half undone, to a garage to fix...gutted. The forum posts mainly refer to mk3 and people keep repeating the guide to taking the door panel off (i.e. The easiest bit!!).
