Window seals?

Thought I was being a bit heavy handed with the hose pipe when cleaning the car when I saw little patches of condensation at the front of each electric window (on the inside) after washing ... but no looks like all four bloody window seals are leaking water through into the doors .. when I open the drivers door after washing (or heavy rain) water pours from a drain hole half way along the bottom of the door

Is this a common fault ? .. would it be covered by an independant garage's waranty to you think ? (only had the car a couple months and winter's not here yet )

Dont want the damn doors rotting from the inside

Any help/advice appreciated

Completely normal; the drain holes in the doors on all cars are there for a reason and unless the door skin has been replaced and not properly painted and sprayed with wax sealant the door won't rot as all cars these day have galvanised bodywork from the factory.

Really ? ... surely the seals letting in water, and the condensation it cause's cant be good

They are mostly there to look good... Otherwise the small amount of water they remove is not worth speaking about....

Not really any cars rot from the inside out these days, it all comes down to outside damage or bad material....

As above the door window seals are just for aesthetics and to provide a cushion between the glass and the door all cars let a little water past the seals and out the hole in the bottom of the door ,its nothing to worry about

Ive not noticed any condensation on mine but i do get water coming from the bottom of the doors

same here mate but this was just after a quick heavy shower after reading the first couple of replies ... went out and snapped it with my phone

Was on hols in rural Wales couple wks back and it P!SSED down for about 2hrs one day .. then the sun came out, and the condensation was 3x the size of the pic (incidentaly, the Hyundai I30 parked next to me had no such ingress!!!)

I get this in the corner of all four windows. Its done it for about 2 years, a bit of kitchen towl or cotton wool bud get rid of it

Spose I should be greatfull I dont seem to get any ingress anywhere else ... that I've noticed

Its not very good though is it ... I've never owned a motor that lets enough water past the seals to cause condensation like this

My old clio had the full windscreen iced up on the inside during winter! Hopefully my car should be okay over winter as it will be parked under ground a fair bit

See thats what I've been thinkin when ppl have said its normal to have that much water sitting in the door etc

I've seen what damage frozen water does when it expands!! ... I think I'll get the anti-freeze changed in my doors
