Wing mirror covers

Good way of taking the cover off, without removing mirror-

-turn the mirror (glass) as far as it will go in towards the car and down.This will allow you to see into behind the glass
-with a flash light you can now see a clip on the top left (or right depending on which side)
-with a long blunt tool push the clip in and upwards
-this will loosen one clip and should make the cover loose enough to take off.

I too was uneasy about taking glass off , but found this way easier and less stressful.

There's about 5 different clip positions behind the mirror, not sure how you got to them all that way?
I found out we had a suction cup used to pick up glass sheets lying around at work, it was the perfect size for the mirror

Only needed to loosen one clip and it sort of pulled off on both sides quite easily, ah well more than one way to skin a cat.
