Wing mirror glass

I need to replace the rhs glass in my wing mirror.

I've been quoted 30 odd quid from tps. However seen others online for less than 20. However I'm a bit unsure as if they fit as they say they're for heated mirros and mine aren't.

Any recommendations of where to buy them or which one I need?

I have the part number - 1J2 857 522

Shouldn't be any problem fitting the heated one, just might get a non-heated one cheaper.

Also, do you definitely want the blue tinted ones ? (which this part number is) I would, but it would look silly if your other one is clear ;)

oh wow, thank you. Yeah, seen loads of stick on stuff that say temp fix for MOTs etc.

Was going to try my local halfords at some point as they have some listed at £10 but if they're no good will get the one you linked.

Thanks

I've got heated mirrors, the glass is coming unstuck from the backing

Is it worth super glueing or getting a new 1 ?

Planning on changing mirrors for teardrops in the future :D

I'd be tempted to have a go at gluing it personally ...but you might end up having to buy a new one anyway if that doesn't go as planned :p

I need to remember to have another look at a mirror I found a few weeks ago in a cupboard - it was heated ...probably a clear (none-tinted) one ...but don't remember which side it was for

They're not all that easy, but just employ a little BF&I - some people swear by bits of wood, or plastic tyre levers ...I prefer to hang onto it, just so I don't have to sweep up the broken glass when I'm done *

* I realise that if you're mirror's already broken this doesn't matter so much, and using a lever is a safer way of ensuring you don't cut your fingers open ;)
