Re: heated windscreens. I had one of those on the old Focus I traded to get my 1.2TSi and whilst they are great in the winter, there are two problems.
1 - the heating elements are very fine wires which fail, so you end up with a vertical Venetian blind effect.
2 - more importantly the wires cause extra glare at night which can be really tiring on the eyes
I believe Renault used a thin metallic film for screen heating, but that tended to screen GPS signals.
Seems there isn't an ideal solution, but I'm sure I saw a 'lower screen heater' on the SEAT options list somewhere - no idea what it is though!
