Hi.
Got a car with a wireless changing (Leon MK3 2017) but since I bought it a month ago it has never worked. I didn't stop me with buying it anyway. It is just annoying. So I place my phone onto wireless charger and nothing happens. The phone is fine, tried without the case and still absolutely nothing. Any ideas anyone? Is the unit knackered or maybe a blown fuse? I'm not desperate to get it fixed but it is just annoying because it should work. Thanks

Two questions:
1. Are you sure the car does have wireless charging - if so, does it work with other phones?
2. Does wireless charging on your phone work with other wireless chargers?

That might rule out whether it's the phone or the charger. Youu say the phone is fine' but what does that mean? That it charges wirelessly on other chargers?

Edit - I have wireless charging on my Cupra but I think it was an optional extra in 2017. Lux models had it later, but don't any models had as standard in 2017.
Could be wrong.

Mine shows 'wireless charging' on the infotainment display after a few seconds. So, does yours not display anything, or not seem to charge?

Hi.
1. I assume I have a wireless charging on my car as I have a wireless tray fitted. Not sure if this is standard and all of cars come with it and than you have an option of actually enabling wireless charging.
2. My phone (S9) does work with the other wireless chargers, wireless charging is enabled. Tried my missus phone but no luck.
3. When I place my phone onto charging pad nothing happens. No information on the infotainment display or phone.

It is well equipped car with the winter pack, full leather, parking aid with rear camera, pan roof. This is why I assumed that it has got a wireless charging as well purely because of the charging pad. I might be wrong. It is just annoying if you know what I mean. Sorry for my English by the way.

That does like it has wireless charging. So, maybe it's a fuse or a fault.
I do have a recollection about cars with the connectivity box being disabled as they were not compliant with the relevant standards. So, some Leons had not only wireless charging but a signal booster. It was the signal booster which caused issues with certification or similar. But not sure if all the tech would be disabled.
Is your car still in warranty? Might be checking with a dealer.

No warranty I'm afraid. Will need to find someone in Nottingham area to do a VCDS scan on my car.
Thanks
