fitted a new head unit about 6months ago and it stoped the central locking unlocking wen i took the key out of the ignition. tryed to find the prob and it was the ignition live had gon that trigers the locks, no blown fuse gust gon so at the time gust wired it up so i tured the head unit off and pulled the door handle twice to open the doors. over the last couple of days wen the auto lock gos after 5mph the passenger door unlocks agen 2sec after every think els stays locked. so this weekend was guna go digging to find the prob the diagrams would help a lot thanks
the lights ok. realy think its got somethink to do with the ignition live signal that gos thor the head unit. has anyone els had probs with locking wen fitting a after market headunit
i dont think so this is the first thread ive seen if it was a wiring problem to you ignition im sure more than your auto lock would have gone doolally!
If it's any help the central convenience module died on my Ibiza, the other week, meaning the central locking wouldn't work. Seeing as there's no way of manually locking the passenger door it then spent the weekend locked in the dealer's workshop while I had a lovely Lacetti to drive around in thanks to the AA.
They just replaced it under warranty even with though I've got an aftermarket headunit so I doubt they're connected in that way.
I need a head unit diagram for 2004 model. i bought a inphase head unit and i cant watch a dvd because on the screen there is a message ''for safely reason'' or something. i don't know what can i do
Are you moving at the time or stationary? There's a wire in the ISO block for the speed detection wire, but I can't remember which it is off the top of my head. It basically tells the head unit your speed so it can either turn it up automatically or in your case disable the movie above a certain speed.
ive herd of this on a leon before, will ask my friend what he found it was. as for the dvd not working when moving shorly thats a good thing? seems fairly stupid to watch a film and drive?
