How i did it any way step by step.

1) take your plastic panel of (driver side) hiding fuses and take of your pull out compartment (which allows you to get to relay switchs, digonostic plug etc)

2) Unplug both your light switch and the dimmer switch (as they are kind of connected and you cant pull dimmer switch plug into view if light switch still plugged in)

3) next pull carefully ! the dimmer switch out into view through the pull out compartment space, should just about come into view so you can see what you are doing.

4) finally - as Edward says in the post above wire in both the wires into the back of the dimmer switch check it works by plugging both switchs back in then ifhappy put everything back togother.

p.s i just pushed the wires in each gap to avoid cutting any wires etc

hope this helps mate

not sure what you mean ? by one in 6 and one in 1, you mean each wire ?, if you can and want both gauges to light up and dim out with the rest of your lights (like i did) then just push each of the positive and earth wire from each gauge in to each pin 6 and 1

iv used the proper connectors to join it up, ok boost gauge lights up fine, cant test till i get some longer pipe, (recomendations?)

BUT the oil....... does it checks but doesnt light up.... there is an orange wire but instructions said i didnt need it, i guess this needs to go onto the live?

work part time in an aquatics store so i can get boost pipeing for free ;)

try ebay or pop into any aquatic store as they sell 6mm for fish air pumps which fits perfectly for boost gauges also.

No electrician mate but yeah i would of said that needs to go on live (is the gauge ment to light up ?)

ok so still not there :censored: [:@] the oil gauge is not reading and is lit very dim? its done properly as per the instructions but it contradicts its self,

red acc
black ground
green signal
white acc
orange not used

from the sensor
red - green
black - ground

then goes onto say
black wire from sensor to white from gauge..

but it doesnt seem to be drawing enough power

i took the boost gauge wires out of the connection but still the same deal... put the orange to positive aswell nothing changed whant your opinion before i strip it out and re do the sensors wires.

if your using the headunit power it may not work off the orange wire, which i believe from memory is the switched 12v, I had to run my switch 12v from the headlight loom, which means taking out part of the dash and one of the centre air vents.

First of all mate you havnt left your instrument cluster on dim have you ? thats the little wheel you can adjust to make all dash lights brighter and dimmer ?

Well every gauge i have done has only ever had 2 wires, live and earth and to light them up i put live wire in pin 6 and earth wire in pin 1 (I THINK)

guessing with your gauge and from what ou have said it has other wires to read oil etc.

It should defo work for you mate its just a question of working out which of the wires are live and earth to make the gauge light up. Should be easy to work out, on mine one wire came of the bulb holder (red wire, live) and the other just below the bulb holder (black, earth) i did only have 2 wires though.

Finally be sure your wiring them into the dimmer switch and not your headlight switch as i made that easy mistake the first time i cameto do it !. Dimmer switch is small and rectangler with only around 6 wires going into it if that. Headlight switch is a lot bigger and has alot more wires going into it and is straight in front of your face when you take your driver side panel of coverig the fuses.

after playing around to make sure the connections were good and no broken wires i decided to put the white to power and black to earth and it works fine :D i guess it must just be a typo in the instructions and iv left the orange wire taped up and its all working fine  got a longer pipe in the post for the boost be a lot easyer thow 2 wires and a pipe wil post pics up when its done,

big thanks again guys couldnt have do it without you!!!!
