wobble bolts

hi

what are peoples opinions on wobble bolts, a friend has been told that he can use wobble bolts to fit his old wheels onto his new car, i've never heard of them and as such don't really trust them.

my question is are they any good, how much cheeper are they than spacers, and what would you do?

cheers

Wobble bolts have a completely different use to spacers, you cant substitute one for the other.

Spaces move the wheel further away from the hub, i.e. push them out the arches more.
wobble bolts let you use wheels that have a slightly different PCD (space between the bolts).
e.g. fiat is 98mm (I think) and Ibiza's 100mm. the bolts have a collar (bit like a washer) that slides out slightly to make them fit different PCD's.

What PCD/offset are the wheels your looking to buy?

wobble bolts are fine to use as long as they are torqued up correctly and cheaper than buying pcd adapters

Agreed, wobble bolts are fine as long as you have the correct spigot rings if the centre bore is different.

exactly, if the centre bore/spigot is too large you'll notice big problems,

i ran a fiat stilo with 4x100 conv to 4x98 18" 8J rims for 3 years, on wobblies, not a problem,
