worn drivers seat

anybody has their drivers seat replaced under warranty ?

mine is looking saggy and you can feel the bolster support.

also got a knackered arm rest keeps dropping down.

is it a quick job removing the seat ?

is it the rhs of the drivers seat youre talking about? mine lost its cushionyness lol thats not a real word!, and the sponge was replaced under warranty, not the whole seat though. its gone a bit limp again but its not really that bad to be honest, i can live with it, im in and out of the car a couple dozen times a day so its always going to take a battering!!

yep thats the one.

you can grap hold of the metal support it worn so bad.

the fabric has turned a little grey on that area , i reckon another year and ill change them for something more comfortable anyway. it might be worth trying to take the seat off and packing something into that area , might be trial and error though with softness etc.

surly this will be coverd under warranty ?

car is 18 months old

yea it should be, the padding doesnt last long if you are doing a lot of short journeys though.

might push for a new seat then and armrest

my seat has gone too they are replacing the pading soon

when you say replace padding , is this a new part they order or do they just bodge it up with stuffing etc.

its a proper part but mine was suspect as they had it same day....

had mine done car only had 7000 on clock when i got it only noticed when on a long drive so they replaced the bottom part of the seat the frame the padding and the cloth as it looked like it was wearing out.
