im after a cupra and iv found one but the guy that is selling it has put a full Sachs organic uprated clutch from JBS auto designs and also has a custom map from BAS by a guy called pete bell in york. a just want to know if there any good?
Clutch will be very good and the remap shoukld be fine. Just see how it drives and check if the car has full service history (so you know it has been looked after.) Give the company a ring and chat with them about their work on the Cupra. Could always get the map removed or get a new one done by P-Torque, CustomCode, Revo etc.
Guessing it a TDi cupra. BAS (Bell Auto Services if memory serves me correctly) have been on here before they look to have a strong remap. Clutch will be uprate to surpass the 300lb/ft the standard can take.
thanks lads its good to here about the clutch and yes ric it is a TDI. any ideas about what figures people was getting from the remap?iv emailed the guy and he got 205bhp but didn't mention the torque?
Just done a bit of searching around and the owner is Dozza.13 on here, with a Sachs clutch from JBS, and BAS map if I remember his sig correctly. Currently shows 192bhp, 310ft/lb, so it seems a healthy map
Bell Auto Services are a good reputable tuner. Not seen/heard much of them recently though. I know they specialise in Land Rovers so may be focusing on them.
I've followed Dozza's car before when mine was running stage 1 mapping, and it was quick.
Cant go wrong with the uprated clutch too. Will save a lot of trouble in future.
