Wrong green cotton panel filter.

Hi guys,

After searching through the forum, bought what I thought was the right green panel filter for my 57plate 85bhp 1.4 ibiza sport.

Went for the 75bhp one from green-filter.co.uk as i'd read on here that its the same as the 85bhp one, and is the best one to go for, but it turns out its not the correct one for my car.

The one in the car atm has 3 sections to it, one big section with the actual filter element on the left, and 2 smaller plastic sections on the right.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a decent panel filter that will actually fit my car.

Hi Moffat.

I had the same problem before and I can confirm you've had the wrong filter. There is a lot of confusion with suppliers and the correct panel filter required for the 85bhp variant.

Get in contact with the company you purchased from and they should swap it for the correct one. Failing this, get a refund and go elsewhere.

I dealt with 2 different companies (won't name) when I was looking for a filter and both supplied the wrong one. In the end I did my own research, found the product code on the k&n website and later purchased the correct filter off e-bay.

Also, I just had a look on the green-filter.co.uk webiste and the panel filter you require is not listed.

I always thought the 85bhp variant used the same filter as the 100bhp variant and that the 75 used a totally different one. But the product code listed for the 75 and 100 are exactly the same!!! STRANGE.

Best thing to do is to get in contact and see if they can resolve the issue.

I also have the k&n panel filter which you require in my garage from my previous set-up which I'm happy to post as long as you cover p&p .

Sent back the green cotton filter this morning for a refund (minus 20%), and bought the correct K&N one off ebay.
