Bought my car last year in March and ever since I've had problems with the drivers side blowing bulbs at £70(ish) a go because it has a few small cracks in the lense letting moisture in...
I then Realised last year the 'ballast control unit' I think it is called was dead too so I managed to get one of them to put back in and all was well again after sealing up the cracked lense with bathroom sealant.

Basically that has only lasted about 2 months and it's doing my f*cking head in now as in over a year and a half I've had a working headlight for about 4 months lol.

So I've bought a brand new headlight (a lot of money for some plastic) thinking I'll just swap over the components from inside the old head light into the new one? But obviously it's never that simple is it?

There is a little 'motor' looking thing to the left of the main bulb holder behind the cover that I think controls the headlights that turn as you go round corners but the old one doesn't fit into the new headlight...

I've waffled on for ages but basically what I need help with is finding somewhere I can buy all the parts for inside the headlight. And I need someone to actually tell me what they are so I don't sound stupid again when I wright posts like this haha

Are you sure its a matching headlight because they changed the shape with the facelift but its quite hard to see the difference unless theyre side by side?

the control units for the AFL (adaptive front lights are about £500 a pop + you'll need to code the AFL to the new headlight. you'll most likely need to perform basic settings on the g85 level sensor for the new headlight to work properly.

Well then, seeing as I'm right in the middle of buyin a house it can f*cking stay broken I'll just buy another ballast thing that I deffinatly know is dead and seal up the headlight even more.

Either way cheers for clearing that up for me
